Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)

HFTP is an international organization that focuses on hospitality financial and technology professionals. They work to promote hospitality finance and technology education and certification, as well as to provide resources and networking opportunities for hospitality professionals. HFTP also develops and maintains several industry-standard hospitality technology systems, including the Hospitality Management System (HMS) and the Hospitality Accounting System (HAS).

The High-Performance Computing and Communications Act of 1991 (Public Law 102-194, 102d Congress, S. 1789) authorized the establishment of the High-Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC) Program to provide for the establishment of a high-performance computing and communications infrastructure for science, engineering, and business applications. In 1993, the program was transferred to the newly created National Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (NPACI). In 1997, NPACI was renamed the Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (PACI). PACI continued the mission of NPACI, but with a broader focus that included not only high-performance computing, but also high-speed networking and data management.

PACI was disbanded in 2005, and its activities were transferred to the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) within the Executive Office of the President.
