Area (A)

The area is the two-dimensional surface enclosed by a closed figure. The area of a closed figure is the number of unit squares that cover the surface of the figure. The unit of area is the square unit, which is a square with each side measuring one unit.

The area of a figure can be measured in square units, square centimeters, square inches, square feet, etc. The area of a figure is always a positive number.

What is Area A in Palestine?

The Palestinian Authority defines Area A as those areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip under its full control. This includes all urban areas and the surrounding rural areas.
